Dr. Lasky obtained his PhD in 2002 from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Prior to that, he completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Youth Opportunity Center (Muncie, IN), a residential home for youths age 12-18 years old, where he conducted individual, family, and group therapy, as well as psychological evaluations to determine an appropriate program placement for each resident. During his post-doctoral training at Aurora Vista Del Mar Hospital in Ventura, California, he ran inpatient groups for the Dual Diagnosis Unit (alcohol/drug abuse and a mental health diagnosis) and the Adolescent Unit. He further completed individual therapy throughout all units and ran groups for the AfterCare program to help patients transition back to their communities.
Dr. Lasky became a certified School Psychologist in 2000 and a licensed Psychologist in 2003. Aside from private practice, he is involved in the American Psychological Association, American Group Psychological Association, and National Association of School Psychologists, and volunteers for the Glendale Healthy Kids program. Dr. Lasky specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy, group therapy, and psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and families with gay/lesbian/transgender issues, substance abuse disorders, and learning disabilities including Autism and ADHD. Along with individual therapy, Dr. Lasky is currently interested in providing social skills and ADHD group therapy sessions for children, and a Post-Traumatic Stress group session for adults. Dr. Lasky also speaks Spanish.
In his spare time, Dr. Lasky swims with the Southern California Aquatics masters team.
